Costume:
All the costumes are similar in grime videos. There is always a huge group of people , often males , wearing hood attire i.e. Nike , Adidas , North face and other brands to promote their product. The brand often sponsors them for example Stormzy is supported by Adidas. The clothes are often dark i.e. black and navy.
Setting:
In terms all grime music videos they have similar locations. Settings vary from the studio, to on the road, in cars, in an estate etc. me music videos. Studios are very popular in grime culture as they are used in various freestyles such as Fire in the booth and Daily Duppy. It once again portrays how authentic these artists are. No one can dis them about not bringing in his people. It to do with, the say in making it out the hood and bringing your brothers in. So in short, if one of us make something of our life, then it's a collective thing to help those you grew up with to do something for theirs.
Location:
These music videos are always situated in urban/rural area. As it has a lot of space and there is few ways of having any distractions. Also because these places tend to be where they grew up/ their neighbourhood. Like Chip and Frisco for instance, His Are you really from the ends and My Bruddaz are from his childhood area he grew up in. Where they know they will get that support and love like no other. It's their home. Which is shown throughout both the videos:Props
In grime music videos the props are usually the same. Most of the time we shall see a car or two , lighters bikes and most recently segways. They is also usually someone smoking weed in the video. It's al based on the culture we have. To show off al your materialist things, to symbolise you've made it. Or just as a incentive to everyone that it is possible to make something out of your life.
