Own Research of who watches music videos

             Who watches Music Videos?

The slide below is the same as the one previously seen on the blog, which will recap what a music video is before getting into who watches and why.

First and for most, what is a music video?
By definition it is a videotaped recording of a popular song. Which includes either performance or one kind or another (acting/dancing etc.) or the use of visual elements(effects like animations or slow/ fast motion). They have taken the central role of the music industry today. It's it most profitable market.

Where do people tend to watch music videos?
Websites like YouTube, Vevo, Linkup TV etc.
Why is it so popular?
One reason why they are so popular is because they are the easiest way to access a song. Places like iTunes, Google play require you to pay in order to watch a full music video. Which is why websites like YouTube and Vevo have grown so much in popularity. Because you don't have to pay in order to watch it.  I for one, won't buy a music video when in fact I can watch it on YouTube for free.

Anyone can watch a music video, by the click of a finger, on the TV music channels.

Some people watch it for the objectification of women( men make me sick sometimes lmao)

Whiles some watch it for the message the video sends. As music videos are known for the subliminal messages it provides. A great example is of a song I like as well, people claim it's to do with some sort of conspiricy: In this video, people say how it exposes the factors of the twin tower bombings, I for one don't really know I just religiously watch music videos as such.

Others watch it in support of an artist, for example, if you're a fan of Jhene Aiko, you are almost instictively bound to watching her music videos, as you may find it exciting and grow fond of her

To promote an artist or product. Such as the video below, it's promoting Dre Beats Pill speakers. Which you see in the first few seconds.

Yes I know, its not exactly the best song choice or artist but it is a good example and it doesn't fail to explain what I'm talking about.
