I went out to film at Alexandria Palace with my younger brother. Managing to capture some good shots. The photos taken from today have been uploading to flciker. The costume was exactly like the finalised one. Literally whiles performing I felt as if I was Emeli Sande myself. It really does help to appeal to a wider audience as we wanted because we had elderly people coming up to us asking what song that is. Which means it worked well with our initial idea of appealing to the older people of the population.
The location choice was suitable, as its autumn/winter the leaves are a beautiful mixture of green and brown, it kind of portrays the message of letting something go in order to grow. Therefore setting the atmosphere correct for this type of song.
It was a successful day, I had doubts because of the fog from last night, but when we finally got there, the was hardly any fog and it was clear, enabling us to film well. We took various shots just to be on the safe side. We didn't face any issues in terms of the passers, they would either walk around or wait for us to be done. They were even asking ask questions about the product and they were all so friendly, helping me to feel comfortable around them. However it was kind of distracting the way they would just stand and watch me being filmed. Nevertheless, that made it the more entertaining.
