Class feedback from What we have managed to do so far by Esther

Here's a clip of the feedback from our class about what we have come from the rough cut till now.

What we have gathered from here is that our editing of the sequence is clear. So the audience has established a understanding for what message we are trying to convey, which is loss. I understand that at the scene with al three artists, you can't always see the faces of them all, due to the height difference. Estelle and Kapone are so much shorter than Kwabz which we had difficulties of trying to avoid, however, that wasn't the focus of that scene. It was so see them all together to symbolise unity at a time of need. More so, notice that the camerawork was more focused on Estelle as she was actually singing. Which is why the boys heads are somewhat cut off as well at some parts.

We have deliberately broken the 180 degree rule, as the other shots that we took didn't come out as planned and the use of breaking the rules allowed us to show the audience whatever it is they were looking at from a different angle, this causes them to pick up a new perspective and it gives the music video a big of ambiguity. Hopefully captivating our audience.

In light of the feedback, we will look to edit the last shot to get rid of the dead space issue we currently have. And cut it together quicker, which means applying the cross dissolve at a earlier time. We will also work on adding more slow motion effects on Kapone's scene, as it creates more empathises and looks wicked by really showing the depression the lyrics is creating.

So from this feedback, we went back and switch the scene where it first showed the performer than the artist, to showing the artist than the performer. At it made it clear as to who is who. Establishing the ground of artist and performer/actress.
